Remove White Background From a Logo or Design
Drop a logo, text design or illustration on a white (or any solid) background and download it as a transparent PNG, ready for shirts, stickers and mugs. It runs in your browser: nothing is uploaded.
Keeps the white you want
Only the background touching the edges goes, so white lettering or highlights inside the design stay. One switch clears every match instead.
No halo around the edges
A soft-edge slider fades the pixels that were blended with white, so the outline sits clean on a black shirt.

Why a print file needs a transparent background
A t-shirt, sticker or mug printer prints every pixel that is not transparent. A logo saved on a white canvas prints as a white rectangle on a dark shirt, and on a light shirt it often shows as a faint box where the white does not match the fabric. Print-on-demand marketplaces ask for a PNG with a transparent background for exactly this reason.
Getting a clean result
- Start from the largest file you have. More pixels means smoother edges once the background is gone.
- Raise the closeness slowly. Too low leaves specks of off-white; too high starts eating light parts of the design.
- Check it on black. The black preview shows any leftover halo, which is what a dark shirt would show too. Add a little edge softness until the outline looks clean.
This tool removes a solid color. A photo of a person or a product on a busy background needs a different kind of tool. Once your PNG is ready, size it for each marketplace with the image resizer and preview it on a shirt with the mockup generator.

Frequently asked questions
How do I remove a white background from a logo for free?
Drop the logo above. The tool takes the color of the corner as the background (white by default), makes every connected pixel close to it transparent, and lets you download a PNG. Adjust the closeness slider if specks remain, and the softness slider if a white halo shows on the black preview.
Will it remove the white inside my design too?
Not by default. It only clears background that touches the edges of the image, so white letters, eyes or highlights inside the design stay. Untick the option to clear every matching pixel, which is what you want for the holes inside letters such as O or A when they should show the shirt.
Is my image uploaded?
No. The image is read and processed in your browser and the PNG is made on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.
Does it work on photos?
It works on flat artwork on a solid color: logos, text and illustrations. A photo of a person or a product on a busy background needs an AI cut-out tool instead, because there is no single background color to remove.
What file do print-on-demand sites want?
A PNG with a transparent background, at the pixel size each marketplace asks for. After removing the background here, the image resizer sizes it for Amazon Merch, Redbubble, TeePublic and Etsy print partners.
