Redbubble trends

Redbubble trends from Redbubble itself, sorted into the ones you can design for

Trendlytic reads Redbubble's trending t-shirts every hour and shows what climbed since yesterday. Search a niche and the new Redbubble designs that are already selling carry a Rising badge, while trends built on someone else's brand get flagged, so your evening goes to one you are allowed to join.

“At first, I didn’t really understand the difference between the different rankings, especially Rising. But after using Trendlytic more and filling my store with designs based on Rising niches, I started seeing a really noticeable increase in sales. Another feature I love is Generate Listing. Whenever I find a niche or design I like, I can create something unique and original from it. This helped me avoid the copyright issues I used to face before. I highly recommend Trendlytic.”

Redbubble's trending order is free and worth a look, and it is the raw material of our Redbubble column. What it cannot tell you is which trends an original seller can join and where new work is still getting through. The right-hand column is written by us, the people who build Trendlytic.

Features

What you get

Free Redbubble trend finders are often built on Google data: they tell you what people type into a search engine, which is not the same as what buyers pick on Redbubble. Redbubble's own trending order is closer to the truth, and it has a catch. When we read its t-shirts on 29 October 2026, six of the top ten were built on a video game, a band, a pop singer, a baseball player, a football team or a public figure, and six of the ten had not been on the list the day before. A trend list like that moves fast and is mostly closed to an original seller. Trendlytic keeps both halves in view: the trending list itself, every hour, and underneath it the new Redbubble designs that are already finding buyers in the niche you care about, with a USPTO lookup on any phrase before you commit.

Redbubble's trending tees, every hour

Trending Now keeps up to 50 of Redbubble's trending t-shirts and reads them again every hour, so the list you open is never a week old.

Yesterday beside today

An arrow marks each design that moved up since yesterday's list and NEW marks the ones that were not on it, so a fresh trend stands out from a stale one.

Rising, inside your niche

Search any phrase on Redbubble and the new designs that are already selling carry the Rising badge, so you see whether newcomers still get in.

Fan art flagged, not hidden

Much of what trends on Redbubble is fan art. Titles naming a brand, a character or a famous person on our protected list carry a TM or (c) badge; the rest is yours to read with care.

Who already owns a niche

Each search counts the designs, the top sellers among them and the artists behind them. Sixty designs from twelve artists is a different market from sixty designs from fifty.

One phrase, four marketplaces

Keyword Research gives every phrase a 12-month trend line and counts the designs already competing for it on Redbubble, TeePublic, Etsy and Amazon.

See it working

A Redbubble-only search for art teacher in Trendlytic on 29 October 2026: verdict Small Market, score 2, 1 Rising design on Redbubble, 60 designs of which 46 are top sellers, from 12 artists
01

A small trend says so

Not every niche is a wave. On 29 October a Redbubble search for art teacher found 60 designs, 46 of them top sellers, from only 12 artists, and a single Rising design. The verdict reads Small Market and suggests treating it as a micro-niche for a strong idea, not as a trend to chase. Twelve artists behind sixty designs also tells you a few shops already own the space. That is worth knowing before you draw, and it is the kind of answer a trending list on its own never gives.

Best Niches Today in Trendlytic with the Redbubble filter on: 43 niches against 502 on TeePublic, with Last Day of School, Positive Affirmation (new that day) and Golf Cardio, each with one Rising design and a Discover niche button
02

The niches behind Redbubble's newest sellers

Best Niches Today turns each recent Rising design into a named niche, worded from that design's title, and the list is rebuilt hourly. With the Redbubble filter on, on 29 October, it held 43 niches, against 502 on TeePublic: new designs break through on Redbubble less often, so each one is a stronger hint. Three of them are above: an end-of-school-year teacher shirt, a positive affirmation found that day, and a golf joke. Any of them opens into a full search with one click.

Check any phrase against the live USPTO register before you design

Type a phrase and Trendlytic looks it up in the live USPTO register and shows who owns it, its status and its filing date. Included in every plan.

TM©

And the designs that were never yours to print are marked

When a result leans on a known brand, a character or a famous person, it arrives with a TM or copyright badge on the card. You see it while you are choosing, not after a takedown. A first filter, not legal advice.

How it works

  1. 1

See the list, then look past it

Open Trending Now for Redbubble, skip the badged fan art, and note the original ideas that are climbing.

  2. 2

Test the idea in its niche

Search it on Redbubble: the verdict, the Rising designs and the number of artists tell you whether the trend has room.

  3. 3

Make it yours, then check it

Draw your own version for the same buyer, and look its wording up on the USPTO register while the file is still on your desktop.

A mockup generator for the design you make next

When your own design for the niche is ready, drop the file in and see it on 500+ t-shirt photos in one go. Pick the shots that fit your shop, on a person or on its own, and save them at up to 2000 px with no watermark. A mockup takes 1 credit from your plan the first time and nothing after that.

Frequently asked questions

How does the 3-day free trial work?

Every plan starts with 3 days free. Starting it charges $1 to check the card is real, and that $1 is not refunded. The plan price itself is only billed when the trial ends, and cancelling before then from Manage Plan means it is never charged.

I haven't sold anything yet. Is Trendlytic for me?

Yes. A search needs no shop and no sales history: type an idea and you see what already sells for it on Etsy, Redbubble, TeePublic and Amazon US, how crowded each one is, and a plain verdict. Start with the marketplace you plan to sell on. If you are not ready for a trial, the free tools at /tools need no account.

What is trending on Redbubble right now?

It changes every hour. On 29 October 2026 Redbubble's trending t-shirts were led by fan art (six of the top ten were built on a game, a band, a singer, a ballplayer, a team or a public figure), while the original designs that were new and already selling included teacher end-of-year shirts, dinosaur and book jokes, and a frog on a bicycle for grandparents. Open Trending Now's Redbubble column for today's list.

Does Redbubble have a trending page?

Redbubble's shop can be sorted by trending. It shows today's order, for the whole shop or for a search, with no comparison to yesterday and no sign of which designs are new, and licensed fan art sits in it like any other design. Trendlytic reads that order every hour for t-shirts and adds the comparison, the badges and the niche view.

How often are the Redbubble trends updated?

Trending Now's Redbubble column and Best Niches Today are refreshed every hour. A search or a Keyword Research reads Redbubble live when you run it.

Why not use Google Trends for Redbubble?

Google Trends measures what people type into Google. A phrase can sell on Redbubble with almost no Google searches, and a popular search can be about a show or a brand you cannot print. Trendlytic reads Redbubble itself, so the signal is what Redbubble shows and what its buyers pick.

Can I sell designs from Redbubble's trends?

Only your own design for the same buyer. A large share of Redbubble's trending shirts is fan art of brands, characters and celebrities, which only the rights holder can sell, and Redbubble removes reported designs. Trendlytic badges the names on its protected list and gives you a USPTO lookup on any phrase, but read every title yourself: the list is deliberately narrow.

Is there a free Redbubble trends tool?

Our free Redbubble tag generator lists the tags that the top Redbubble designs in a niche rank on, with no account. The hourly trending list, the Rising badges, Best Niches Today and Keyword Research are part of Trendlytic, from $19.99 a month after a 3-day trial.
