About

Who built Trendlytic, and why

Trendlytic isn't a venture-funded marketing machine. It's a single tool built by one founder in Casablanca, Morocco, after watching too many print-on-demand sellers fail for the same three preventable reasons.

The founder

I'm Karim — engineer, builder, and the only person behind Trendlytic. I'm based in Casablanca, Morocco, and I build software for people who want to make a living from their own work instead of someone else's payroll.

Before Trendlytic, I spent a lot of time watching the print-on-demand market from the outside. I'd read seller forums, study top stores on TeePublic, Amazon Merch, and Redbubble, and try to understand the gap between sellers who quietly earn $5,000/month and sellers who upload for a year and earn nothing.

The pattern was always the same: the successful sellers researched niches before they designed, checked trademarks before they uploaded, and focused on one marketplace before expanding. The ones who failed picked "cool ideas," skipped the boring discipline, and quit at month four.

Most existing POD research tools were keyword tools repackaged for shirts. They showed sellers what people searched for, not what people actually bought. None of them did store-level analysis — walking into a top seller's store and pulling their #1, #2, #3 designs to see what was really moving — across all three major non-Etsy marketplaces in one search. And almost none of them ran live USPTO trademark checks on every keyword, which is the single most preventable cause of POD account suspensions.

Why Trendlytic exists

I spent six months building Trendlytic to fix that specific gap. The tool walks into top sellers' stores on TeePublic, Amazon Merch on Demand, and Redbubble, pulls their proven best-sellers, scores demand and competition, and live-checks every keyword against 850,000+ USPTO trademarks before you commit a design to upload.

That's it. No bloat. No analytics dashboard nobody uses. No 47 features that nobody asked for. It does what most POD sellers actually need: real data on what sells, fast trademark sanity checks, three marketplaces in one search, starting at $5/month.

What I write about

I publish honest, data-driven articles for POD sellers on this blog. Not guru content. Not "make $10k overnight" garbage. Real numbers from the marketplaces I track, honest comparisons of tools (including comparisons where Trendlytic isn't the winner), and the failure patterns I see kill new sellers in their first 90 days.

If you sell or are thinking about selling on TeePublic, Amazon Merch, or Redbubble, these are worth your time:
