When an Etsy listing has been up for weeks without a sale, the words are the part you can change tonight. Etsy says what it wants from them in its own help center: a title of up to 140 characters, ideally under 15 words, that says what the item is without repeating itself, and 13 tags of up to 20 characters, as varied as you can make them. Plenty of listings that sell break those rules anyway; the plant mom listing with the most favourites in our 1 November search had a title made of seven comma-separated phrases and spent a tag on Clothing. It wins on years of sales. A newer listing has to win on its words. First, the words against Etsy's rules

How does the 3-day free trial work?
Every plan starts with 3 days free. Starting it charges $1 to check the card is real, and that $1 is not refunded. The plan price itself is only billed when the trial ends, and cancelling before then from Manage Plan means it is never charged.
I haven't sold anything yet. Is Trendlytic for me?
Yes. A search needs no shop and no sales history: type an idea and you see what already sells for it on Etsy, Redbubble, TeePublic and Amazon US, how crowded each one is, and a plain verdict. Start with the marketplace you plan to sell on. If you are not ready for a trial, the free tools at /tools need no account.
What does an Etsy listing optimization tool do?
It checks the parts of a listing you control, mainly the title and tags, against what Etsy asks for, and points to better words. Do I have to connect my Etsy shop?

How do I optimize an Etsy listing that is not selling?
Fix the rule breaks first (title length, repetition, duplicate tags, empty slots), then replace weak tags with phrases buyers search that have fewer competing listings, and check the rank for the same phrase a couple of weeks later. Photos, price and reviews matter too, and no change of words fixes those.
How many tags should an Etsy listing have?
Etsy allows 13 tags of up to 20 characters each and calls each one a chance to match a shopper's search, so use all 13, keep them different from one another, and prefer short phrases over single words.
