Trendlytic vs TeePublic's own Trending Now page
| TeePublic's own Trending Now page | Trendlytic | |
|---|---|---|
| What it lists | Designs their artists tagged trending now, in relevance order | New TeePublic designs that are already selling, strongest first |
| How recent | Median age 582 days, none under 90 days (our reading, 18 October 2026) | Rising is only given to new designs |
| Your niche | One list for the whole marketplace | The same signal inside any niche you search, as a Rising badge |
| Protected names | Listed like any other design | A TM or (c) badge on titles that lean on a brand, a character or a famous person |
| Other marketplaces | TeePublic only | Redbubble, Amazon Merch and Etsy in the same view |
| Price | Free | $19.99 a month after a 3-day trial that starts with a $1 card check |
TeePublic's page is still a fine place to browse for inspiration, and it costs nothing. It is simply not a measure of what new designs can sell today, which is the question Trendlytic answers. The right-hand column is written by us, the people who build Trendlytic.

Features
What you get
TeePublic has a Trending Now page of its own, and it is easy to take it for a trend report. When we read it on 18 October 2026 it behaved like a tag: it listed designs whose artists had labelled them trending now, the median one was 582 days old, and none was younger than 90 days. That tells you what was popular once, not what a new design can join today. The signal a print-on-demand seller can act on is narrower: new designs that are already selling. That is what Trendlytic reads on TeePublic, every hour for the marketplace as a whole and on demand for the niche you type, next to Redbubble, Amazon Merch and Etsy when you want the comparison.
A list that moves every hour
Trending Now's TeePublic column holds up to 50 Rising designs and refreshes hourly. Arrows mark the ones that climbed since yesterday's list and NEW the ones that were not on it.
The same signal in your niche
Search any phrase and the TeePublic designs that are new and already selling carry the Rising badge, with their listing date beside it.
Seasonal timing you can see
Each phrase in Keyword Research has a 12-month trend line, so you can tell a holiday peak from steady demand before you plan a design for it.
Trends you cannot join, marked
Fan merch trends fast on TeePublic. Titles that lean on a brand, a character or a famous person carry a TM or (c) badge, and any phrase goes to the USPTO register in one click.
Crowding counted per phrase
For every phrase, the number of designs already competing on TeePublic, Redbubble, Amazon and Etsy, so you pick the wording with room in it.
Best Niches Today, filtered to TeePublic
Every hour, the niches behind the latest Rising designs, with a New tag on the ones that appeared that day. Any of them opens straight into a search.

See it working

Rising: the new designs buyers already picked
On 27 October a TeePublic search for thanksgiving teacher returned 70 designs, and 12 of them carried the Rising badge. Two of them are above: a turkey with school supplies listed four days earlier, and a row of turkeys reading teacher of little turkeys, listed 24 days earlier. Rising marks new designs that are already selling, which is the moment a trend is still open to one more good design. Every card keeps its listing date and tags, so you can see how recent the movement is and which words it rides on.

The phrases inside the trend, with their own curve
A trend is also a vocabulary. Keyword Research read the leading TeePublic designs for thanksgiving teacher and returned 115 phrases, 25 of them with a trend line that is climbing. Each phrase carries a 12-month trend line, so a seasonal spike looks like one, and a count of the designs already competing for it on TeePublic and three other marketplaces. Thanksgiving music teachers had 4 rival designs on TeePublic; teacher halloween costumes, 46. Where a marketplace gave no count, the cell stays empty rather than holding a guess.

New niches every hour, named from the designs themselves
Best Niches Today turns the latest Rising designs into niches, each one taken from a design's own title, and refreshes every hour. Filtered to TeePublic on 27 October it listed 505 of them. Two are above: Jimothy Raccoon, a raccoon meme with 5 Rising designs on TeePublic and Redbubble, and Pumpkin Eating Ghost, new that day, with 6. A niche you had never heard of in the morning is one click from its own search and verdict.
Built-in trademark check
Check any phrase against the live USPTO register before you design
Type a phrase and Trendlytic looks it up in the live USPTO register and shows who owns it, its status and its filing date. Included in every plan.
And the designs that were never yours to print are marked
When a result leans on a known brand, a character or a famous person, it arrives with a TM or copyright badge on the card. You see it while you are choosing, not after a takedown. A first filter, not legal advice.
How it works
- 1
Check what is moving
Open Trending Now or Best Niches Today on TeePublic, or search the niche you have in mind.
- 2
Read the trend's words
Run Keyword Research on it: the phrases, how crowded each one is, and whether its curve is a peak or a plateau.
- 3
Design your own take
Check the phrase on the USPTO register, then make your own design for the same buyer and upload while the trend is still open.

Also in every plan
A mockup generator for the design you make next
When your own design for the niche is ready, drop the file in and see it on 500+ t-shirt photos in one go. Pick the shots that fit your shop, on a person or on its own, and save them at up to 2000 px with no watermark. A mockup takes 1 credit from your plan the first time and nothing after that.

Frequently asked questions
How does the 3-day free trial work?
Every plan starts with 3 days free. Starting it charges $1 to check the card is real, and that $1 is not refunded. The plan price itself is only billed when the trial ends, and cancelling before then from Manage Plan means it is never charged.
I haven't sold anything yet. Is Trendlytic for me?
Yes. A search needs no shop and no sales history: type an idea and you see what already sells for it on Etsy, Redbubble, TeePublic and Amazon US, how crowded each one is, and a plain verdict. Start with the marketplace you plan to sell on. If you are not ready for a trial, the free tools at /tools need no account.
What is trending on TeePublic right now?
It changes every hour, which is why Trendlytic shows it as a live list rather than a report. When we wrote this page, on 27 October 2026, Thanksgiving designs for teachers were moving: one search found 12 Rising designs in that niche on TeePublic. Open Trending Now's TeePublic column for the current list.
Does TeePublic have a trending page?
Yes, TeePublic has a Trending Now page. When we read it on 18 October 2026 it worked like a tag: designs whose artists had labelled them trending now, with a median age of 582 days and none younger than 90 days. It is good for browsing, but it does not tell you which new designs are selling.
How often are the TeePublic trends updated?
Trending Now's TeePublic column is refreshed every hour. A search or a Keyword Research reads TeePublic live when you run it.
What does Rising mean on TeePublic?
Rising marks a new design that is already selling. A niche with Rising designs is one where new work still gets in, which is the opening a trend gives a seller who arrives with a good design of their own.
Can I sell designs from TeePublic's trends?
You can sell your own design for the same buyer, never a copy of someone else's. A lot of what trends on TeePublic is fan merch built on brands, characters and celebrities, which only the rights holder can sell; Trendlytic marks those titles with a TM or (c) badge and lets you check any phrase on the USPTO register.
Is there a free TeePublic trends tool?
Our free TeePublic tag generator shows the tags the leading TeePublic designs use for a niche, read live, with no account. The hourly Trending Now list, the Rising badges and Keyword Research are part of Trendlytic, from $19.99 a month after a 3-day trial.
