|---|---|---|
| What you need first | A finished product and a photo of it | A niche word, and no product at all |

| The idea itself | Yours to find | A new slogan and a prompt for original art, for any image tool |
| Proof behind it | Not part of the tool | Rising badges, favorites, listing dates and an Open or Busy read on the niche |
| Slogan check | Varies by tool | Checked against protected names and the USPTO register |
| Price | Often free for a few listings | 2 credits a listing, on plans from $19.99 a month, after a 3-day trial ($1 card check) |

What you get
Writing an Etsy listing is the easy half. The hard half comes first: what should the shirt say, who is it for, and which 13 phrases will that person type? Photo-based generators skip those questions, because they begin once the product exists. If you sell print on demand, nothing exists yet. So we start one step earlier, from a listing buyers are already favoriting in your niche. You keep what makes it work, the buyer and the search phrases, and everything visible to the shopper comes out new: the line on the shirt, the picture and the wording around them.
One click from any result
Every design in a Discover search has the button, so the listing comes from the niche you just checked.
A slogan that is new
A fresh line for the shirt, never the original's. It is compared with protected names and the USPTO register before you see it.
A prompt, not a picture
You get text to paste into the image tool you prefer, with print specs included: 4500 by 5400 pixels, transparent background, and no real people or known characters.
Tags sized for Etsy
Thirteen tags of 20 characters or fewer, unique, with the original's own tags kept word for word at the front.
Honest about what it dropped
When a tag is a name someone owns, or names something your new design does not show, it stays out and the listing says so.
Ready for two more shops
The same listing carries up to 15 tags for TeePublic and Redbubble, so one idea can go further than Etsy.
Inside the app
See it working

All 13 tags, and the source's come first
A shop only gets 13 tags on a listing, so an empty slot is a search you can never appear in. Every tag the original ranks with goes in first, word for word, then new phrases of 20 characters or less fill what is left. On this bus driver shirt that gave school bus tee, bus driver gift, end of year gift and bus monitor shirt. Names people own are left out, and the listing tells you which ones.

Begin with a listing worth learning from
The button sits on the results of a search, so you never start from a guess. For school bus driver, Etsy gave us 60 listings, and 11 carried the Rising badge, which marks new designs already catching on. The two here went up in July and September and already hold 16 and 13 favorites. Pick the one nearest your idea and generate from it.

Know the shelf before you write for it
A good listing cannot rescue a closed niche, so check the shelf first. School bus driver read Open on Etsy: 60 listings, 1,373 favorites between them, 11 Rising. Searching all four marketplaces costs up to 4 credits and returns a full verdict, with Amazon US, Redbubble and TeePublic beside Etsy, if you plan to sell the design in more than one place.

No niche in mind? Open today's list
If you do not have a buyer in mind yet, Best Niches Today has fresh micro-niches every day, built from Rising designs found over the last three days. Filter it to Etsy, open one, and you are a click away from a listing to generate from.
Built-in trademark check
Check any phrase against the live USPTO register before you design
Type a phrase and Trendlytic looks it up in the live USPTO register and shows who owns it, its status and its filing date. Included in every plan.
And the designs that were never yours to print are marked
When a result leans on a known brand, a character or a famous person, it arrives with a TM or copyright badge on the card. You see it while you are choosing, not after a takedown. A first filter, not legal advice.
How it works
- 1
Search your niche on Etsy
One credit for Etsy alone. The Rising badges show you where to look.
- 2
Press Generate listing
Two credits. It takes a few seconds, and the listing stays in your history.
- 3
Make it yours, then publish
Create the art from the prompt, read the wording through, look up the slogan again if you changed it, and list.

Also in every plan
A mockup generator for the design you make next
When your own design for the niche is ready, drop the file in and see it on 500+ t-shirt photos in one go. Pick the shots that fit your shop, on a person or on its own, and save them at up to 2000 px with no watermark. A mockup takes 1 credit from your plan the first time and nothing after that.

Frequently asked questions
How does the 3-day free trial work?
Every plan starts with 3 days free. Starting it charges $1 to check the card is real, and that $1 is not refunded. The plan price itself is only billed when the trial ends, and cancelling before then from Manage Plan means it is never charged.
I haven't sold anything yet. Is Trendlytic for me?
Yes. A search needs no shop and no sales history: type an idea and you see what already sells for it on Etsy, Redbubble, TeePublic and Amazon US, how crowded each one is, and a plain verdict. Start with the marketplace you plan to sell on. If you are not ready for a trial, the free tools at /tools need no account.
Can I generate an Etsy listing for free?
Yes, in parts. Our free Etsy description generator, Etsy title generator and Etsy tag generator need no account. Generate listing, which starts from a live Etsy listing and writes all of it together, comes with the paid plans and costs 2 credits.
Can it write a listing from a photo of my own product?
No. It works from a design in your search results, so it suits sellers planning a new print-on-demand design. For something you already made, type the topic into our AI description writer, or use a photo-based tool.
Does it copy the listing it starts from?
It keeps the niche, the buyer and the search tags, because those are what bring shoppers. The slogan, the art prompt, the title and the description are new. Your job is your own version for the same buyer, so never publish someone else's artwork or wording.
How long is the title it writes?
You get two. The Etsy title stays within Etsy's 140 characters and aims for under 15 words, as Etsy's help page suggests: 75 characters on the shirt above. A longer title sits beside it for marketplaces that allow more.
Why are some of the original's tags missing?
Two reasons, and the listing names both. A tag that is a brand, band, person or title stays out, and so does one naming an animal, object or character that your design will not show. Tags about the buyer, such as a job or an occasion, stay.
Do I still need to check trademarks?
Yes. We compare the new slogan with protected names and the USPTO register, but that is a filter and not legal advice. Run a final lookup on any wording you change before you publish.
