What a rank check tells you
A listing that never shows up in the first pages for the phrase it was written for gets almost no views from search, however good the design is. Checking where you stand turns a vague "my shop is quiet" into a specific fix: this listing, this phrase, this position.
The positions here follow the order Etsy's official API returns for the phrase. Etsy's site adjusts results for each shopper (location, past searches, ads), so treat a position as a solid estimate, not a guarantee of what every buyer sees. It is most useful compared with itself: check the same phrase again after you change a title or tags.

Etsy's site personalises search for each shopper: where they are, what they searched before, and the ads Etsy places between results. The positions here follow the order Etsy's API returns for the phrase, without those adjustments. Use them as a steady yardstick, and compare a listing with itself before and after you change it.
My listing is not found. What does that mean?
None of your listings is in the first results the checker read for that phrase. Either the phrase is broader than the listing, so thousands of listings rank above it, or the listing does not use the phrase in its title and tags. A narrower phrase that describes your design closely is usually easier to rank for.
How do I improve my Etsy ranking?
Start with relevance: the phrase a buyer types should be in your title, near the start, and in your tags. Then the listing has to earn clicks and sales from the views it gets, which comes down to the photo, the price and reviews. Change one thing at a time and check the same phrase again a week later.
