TL;DR: Etsy analytics means two jobs: reading your own shop (visits, orders, conversion) and reading the market (what other sellers list, charge and gain). Etsy's free Shop Stats and Marketplace Insights hold the real figures for your shop and for Etsy search. EverBee and Alura estimate competitors' sales, eRank is the cheapest way into your own listings, and Marmalead and Sale Samurai read how shoppers search. Trendlytic (we built it) reads the print-on-demand market before you design and never connects to your shop.
"Etsy analytics" sounds like one thing, but sellers use the phrase for two separate questions. The first is about you: how many people visited your shop this week, how many of them bought, and where they came from. The second is about everyone else: what sells in your category, what it costs, and whether a niche is growing or cooling.
No tool answers both questions equally well, which is why the seven below look so different from each other. Some plug into your shop. Some read public listings. A few do a bit of each.
I'm Karim, and I built Trendlytic, the first tool on this list. I'll say plainly where it fits and where it doesn't (it never sees your own shop's numbers). Every competitor price here was read on that company's pricing page in October 2026.
Etsy analytics: your shop's numbers vs the market's numbers
Before comparing tools, it helps to split the category in two, because most disappointment with Etsy analytics tools comes from buying one kind when you needed the other.
Your shop's numbers. Visits, orders, conversion rate, revenue, where traffic came from, and how each listing performs. Etsy already has all of this and shows it to you free in Shop Manager. Outside tools that connect to your shop, such as eRank and EverBee, add things Etsy's screens don't: longer history, listing audits, rank tracking, side-by-side comparisons.
The market's numbers. Everything about other sellers: how many listings compete for a phrase, what they charge, how many favorites they collect, how old they are, and how all of that changes over time. Etsy shows pieces of it on every public listing and shop page. Market tools gather it at scale so you can compare a whole niche instead of opening fifty tabs.
One fact shapes this whole category: Etsy publishes a shop's total sales, but a single listing's sales stay private to its owner. When an outside tool shows "monthly sales" or "revenue" on someone else's listing, that figure comes from a model built on public signals, not from Etsy.
| Tool | Best for | Your shop or the market | Pricing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trendlytic | Market analytics before you design (print-on-demand) | The market only, across four marketplaces | $19.99/mo after a 3-day trial ($1 card check) |
| Etsy Shop Stats + Marketplace Insights | Free starting point | Your shop, plus Etsy's own search data | Free; unlimited Insights on Etsy Plus |
| EverBee | Estimated sales and revenue on competitors' listings | The market, plus connected stores on paid plans | Free; $24.99/mo; $69/mo |
| Alura | Shop analytics history | Any shop, yours or a competitor's | Free; $7.99 to $29.99/mo |
| eRank | Budget analytics for your own listings | Your shop first, competitors second | Free; $5.99 to $29.99/mo |
| Marmalead | Search engagement and seasonality | How the market searches | $19/mo, $190/yr or $300 lifetime |
| Sale Samurai | Browse-along extension with a shop dashboard | The market as you browse, plus a shop dashboard | Free; $19.99/mo or $199.90/yr |
1. Trendlytic: best for market analytics before you design (print-on-demand)
Looks at: the market on Etsy, Redbubble, TeePublic and Amazon Merch. It does not connect to your shop. Pricing: Starter $19.99/mo (100 searches), Pro $49.99/mo, Business $99.99/mo, after a 3-day trial that starts with a $1 card check.
Trendlytic is ours, so weigh this section with that in mind. It answers a market question rather than a shop question: before you spend an evening on a design, are buyers taking to this kind of thing right now, and how crowded is it?
On Etsy it reads listings through Etsy's official API: favorites, listing dates and prices. It shows no sales or revenue for Etsy listings: Etsy keeps those private, and I chose not to estimate them. What it gives you instead:
- Rising and Gaining badges on listings buyers are taking to right now, Rising for the young ones. A niche with Rising listings is still letting newcomers reach the top.
- Trending Now, whose Etsy column re-reads the favorites of up to 2,500 Etsy t-shirt listings every hour and ranks the fifty that gained the most over about a day.
- Keyword Research, which draws a 12-month trend line for every phrase and counts the competing designs on Etsy, Redbubble, TeePublic and Amazon Merch.
- One search for four marketplaces, so you can see when an idea is packed on Etsy but still thin on Redbubble.
- A one-click USPTO lookup on whichever phrase you choose, before it goes on a shirt.
Here is one search for beekeeper, as the Etsy results show it:

There are also free tools, with no account, built on the same official API. The Etsy Shop Analyzer shows a shop's total sales (which Etsy publishes for the shop as a whole), its reviews, admirers and most-favorited listings, 5 lookups a day. The Etsy Keyword Tool shows how many active listings a phrase has, the typical price among the first 100, and how many of those 100 went up in the last 90 days, 10 a day. The Etsy Rank Checker shows where your listings sit for a phrase.
Strengths:
- Market analytics shaped around print-on-demand, with the same idea checked on three other marketplaces.
- No invented sales numbers: an Etsy row shows only what Etsy itself publishes.
- Rising, Gaining and Trending Now point at listings moving this week, not a list compiled months ago.
Weaknesses:
- It does not connect your shop, so you get none of your own visits, conversion or revenue. Etsy Stats or eRank covers that.
- The paid search reads Etsy t-shirt and apparel listings, not every Etsy category. For candles, jewelry or printables, look elsewhere.
- It is newer and smaller than eRank or EverBee.
Best for: print-on-demand sellers who want to read the Etsy apparel market before designing, especially if they also list on Redbubble, TeePublic or Amazon Merch. The Etsy product research page shows one full search, and you can try it with a 3-day trial.
2. Etsy Shop Stats and Marketplace Insights: best free starting point
Looks at: your own shop (Stats) and Etsy search as a whole (Marketplace Insights). Pricing: free inside Shop Manager. Marketplace Insights allows 15 keyword lookups a week on a free account and unlimited lookups on Etsy Plus (Etsy, checked October 2026).
Before paying anyone, open Stats in Shop Manager. For any date range it shows your visits, orders, conversion rate and revenue, which channels sent visitors (Etsy search, Etsy Ads, social media, direct links), and how each listing performs. These are your real figures, not estimates.
Marketplace Insights is Etsy's own search data tool. Type a phrase and it reports how many searches and how many listings it had over the last 30 days, and it surfaces trending searches in your categories. Between them, these two hold Etsy's actual search counts and your actual sales. Outside tools work from what Etsy shares with them and model the rest.
Strengths:
- Free, and already inside your seller account.
- Your true visits, orders and conversion, with no modeling in between.
- Traffic sources show whether buyers reach you through search, ads or your own links.
Weaknesses:
- Stats covers only your shop, nothing about competitors.
- It reports what happened but doesn't audit listings or suggest fixes.
- Marketplace Insights stops at 15 lookups a week unless you pay for Etsy Plus.
- It needs a live shop with traffic, so it can't help you pick your very first product.
Best for: every Etsy seller from week one. A weekly look at Stats is the habit to build before buying anything else.
3. EverBee: best for estimated sales and revenue on competitors' listings
Looks at: the market, plus your own stores once connected (3 on Growth, unlimited on Business). Pricing: Hobby free; Growth $24.99/mo or $299/yr; Business $69/mo (everbee.io/pricing, October 2026).
EverBee is built around Etsy product analytics. Open a listing or a search page and it places an estimated sales and revenue figure beside it. The free Hobby plan shows views, reviews and favorites, with 10 keyword searches. Growth unlocks the sales, revenue and conversion-rate analytics, trends and growth rate, unlimited keyword research with its Keyword Score, a Tag Analyzer and 3 store connections. Business stretches trends from 3 months out to 24 months or more and lifts the cap on store connections.
Because Etsy keeps per-listing sales private, EverBee's sales figures are estimates, as they would be from any third-party tool. They work well for ordering listings ("this one clearly outsells that one"), less well as a revenue number to budget on.
Strengths:
- Answers the question many sellers start with, roughly how much a competitor's listing sells, right on the page.
- Trend and growth-rate views show whether a product is speeding up or fading.
- Store connections on paid plans, so your own shop sits in the same dashboard.
Weaknesses:
- Sales and revenue figures are modeled, not Etsy's; read them as a ranking, not a ledger.
- The analytics that define EverBee start at the $24.99 Growth plan.
- Etsy only.
Best for: sizing up a category before you enter it, as long as you read the numbers as estimates.
4. Alura: best for shop analytics history
Looks at: any shop over time, yours or a competitor's. Pricing: Free; Basic $7.99/mo; Growth $14.99/mo ($179.99 billed yearly); Professional $29.99/mo (alura.io/pricing, October 2026).
Alura's angle is time. Its Growth plan includes a Shop Analytics Suite with 3 years of historical data and up to 200 shops analyzed a day, and Professional removes the limits and opens all-time history. The free plan gives 5 product searches, 5 keyword searches and 2 shop analyses a day, enough to tell whether its dashboards suit you.
History beats a snapshot. A shop that looks busy today may be riding one viral listing; a shop that grew steadily for three years in your niche shows buyers stay past a single season. Alura also handles listing optimization and has a Chrome extension.
Strengths:
- Deep history on shops: 3 years on Growth, all-time on Professional.
- High shop-analysis volume for a mid-range price.
- Listing optimization and a browser extension in the same subscription.
Weaknesses:
- As with EverBee, any sales figure on another seller's listing is an estimate.
- Two shop analyses a day on the free plan run out fast when you compare a whole category.
- Etsy only.
Best for: sellers who follow a handful of competitor shops across months, or who want their own shop's long-run curve in one place.
5. eRank: best budget analytics for your own listings
Looks at: your connected shop first, competitors second. Pricing: Free $0; Basic $5.99/mo; Pro $9.99/mo; Expert $29.99/mo (erank.com/pricing, October 2026).
eRank turns your own shop's data into something you can act on, for less than any other paid plan here. Connect your shop and you get traffic stats, listing audits that flag weak spots, a rank checker, competitor tracking, and "Spotted on Etsy" monitoring for your listings. The free plan already connects 1 shop, analyzes up to 50 active listings, and allows 5 keyword lookups and 5 listing audits a day. Pro at $9.99 raises that to 4,000 listings analyzed, unlimited traffic stats and 50 competitors tracked.
What I like here is the step from numbers to action. Etsy Stats tells you a listing gets views and no orders. An audit tells you which part of that listing to look at first.
Strengths:
- A free plan that already connects your shop, and paid tiers from $5.99.
- Listing audits turn raw stats into a short list of fixes.
- Competitor tracking from the paid plans (50 shops on Pro).
Weaknesses:
- Built around your own listings; for estimated sales on other people's listings, EverBee or Alura is closer to the job.
- Five keyword lookups a day on the free plan.
- A lot of data on every screen, which takes a few sessions to learn.
Best for: sellers with an active shop and a small budget who want their own listings measured, audited and tracked against a few rivals.
6. Marmalead: best for search engagement and seasonality
Looks at: how the market searches on Etsy. Pricing: $19 a month, $16 a month billed yearly ($190), or $300 once for lifetime access (marmalead.com/pricing, October 2026). The pricing page mentions no free trial.
Marmalead is search analytics more than shop analytics. For a phrase it shows search volume figures, engagement (listing views by keyword), and its MarmaMeters for volume, engagement and competition. The part that earns it a place in an analytics roundup is time: over a year of keyword interest history plus a three-month forecast. That lets you prepare seasonal listings while there is still time to rank, not in the week the rush starts.
Strengths:
- Engagement data separates phrases shoppers actually browse from phrases they only type.
- More than a year of interest history and a three-month forecast for planning seasons.
- A $300 lifetime option for sellers who expect to stay on Etsy for years.
Weaknesses:
- Nothing about your own shop's visits or orders.
- No free plan or trial on the pricing page, so trying it means paying.
- Etsy only.
Best for: sellers whose year runs on seasons (Christmas, Mother's Day, Halloween) and who want to time listings, not react to them.
7. Sale Samurai: best browse-along extension with a shop dashboard
Looks at: Etsy pages while you browse, plus a shop analytics dashboard in the web app. Pricing: Freemium $0; $19.99/mo; $199.90/yr; 3-day free trial (salesamurai.io/pricing, October 2026).
Sale Samurai lives in your browser. Its Chrome extension layers data onto the Etsy pages you are already reading, and the dashboard sits beside it. The free tier gives 20 keyword searches and 10 listing analyses a month.
Sale Samurai describes its figures as "real Etsy search volume" (salesamurai.io/pricing, October 2026). I can't see how that number is produced, so I'd compare a few phrases you know well against Marketplace Insights before relying on it.
Strengths:
- Analytics appear on Etsy itself, so research fits into normal browsing.
- A shop analytics dashboard in the same subscription.
- A free tier plus a 3-day free trial, and a yearly plan that costs less than twelve monthly payments.
Weaknesses:
- The free tier's monthly limits (20 searches, 10 analyses) are tight for steady use.
- The search-volume claim is theirs; Etsy's own count lives in Marketplace Insights.
- Etsy-focused, so it won't help with other marketplaces.
Best for: sellers who research by browsing Etsy and want a shop dashboard in the same subscription.
When to use which Etsy analytics tool
Start from the question you need answered this month, then pick the tool that answers it.
By question
"How is my shop doing?" Etsy Stats first. It's free and it's the real data. When you want audits, rank tracking or longer views, add eRank (cheapest) or Alura (longest history).
"What are competitors selling?" EverBee or Alura, keeping in mind that their per-listing sales are estimates. For a free look, our shop analyzer reads a shop's real total sales and its most-favorited listings. My guide to best-selling items on Etsy covers which categories hold up.
"What should I design next for print-on-demand?" Trendlytic. It's the question I built it for: which niches have listings buyers are taking to, how crowded each phrase is on four marketplaces, and whether the phrase passes a trademark lookup. If you'd like to try the reading by hand first, what's trending on Etsy explains the principle. When the hand method starts eating your evenings, research before you design with the trial.
"Which words do buyers search?" Marketplace Insights first, since those are Etsy's own counts. Then Marmalead for engagement and seasons, or Sale Samurai if you research while browsing. That question is SEO more than analytics, and I compared tools for it in best Etsy SEO tools.
By budget
| Budget | What to use |
|---|---|
| $0 | Etsy Stats + Marketplace Insights + eRank Free + our free Etsy tools |
| Under $10 a month | eRank Basic or Pro, Alura Basic |
| $15 to $25 a month | Alura Growth, Marmalead, Sale Samurai, EverBee Growth, or Trendlytic Starter if you sell print-on-demand |
| More | EverBee Business, Alura Professional, eRank Expert, Trendlytic Pro |
Analytics only earn their price when a number changes what you do next week. Run the free stack for a month, note the question it couldn't answer, pay for the one tool that answers it, and cancel if you haven't opened it in two weeks.
FAQ
What is the best Etsy analytics tool?
It depends which numbers you need. For your own shop, Etsy Stats is free and exact, and eRank is the cheapest step up. For estimated sales on competitors' listings, EverBee; for long shop history, Alura. For reading the print-on-demand market before you design, Trendlytic, which is ours.
Does Etsy have its own analytics?
Yes. Stats in Shop Manager shows your visits, orders, conversion rate, revenue, traffic sources and per-listing performance. Marketplace Insights shows searches and listings for a phrase over the last 30 days and trending searches in your categories, with 15 lookups a week free and unlimited on Etsy Plus (checked October 2026).
Can you see another shop's sales on Etsy?
For the shop as a whole, yes: Etsy publishes each shop's total sales, and free tools like our shop analyzer read that figure. Sales for an individual listing are private to the seller. EverBee, Alura and similar tools estimate them from public signals, so use those numbers to compare listings and cross-check them against reviews, favorites and listing age.
What is Etsy search analytics?
Data about how shoppers search: how often a phrase is typed, how many listings compete for it, how much engagement it gets, and how interest moves across the year. Marketplace Insights is Etsy's first-party source. Marmalead and Sale Samurai report their own figures, and Trendlytic's Keyword Research draws a 12-month trend line per phrase.
Is there a free Etsy analytics tool?
Several. Etsy Stats and Marketplace Insights are free, eRank, EverBee, Alura and Sale Samurai all have free tiers, and our free Etsy tools need no account (the shop analyzer allows 5 lookups a day, the keyword tool 10). Trendlytic's paid app is from $19.99/mo, and its 3-day trial asks for a card.
Does Trendlytic connect to my Etsy shop?
No. It reads the market through Etsy's official API and never sees your visits, conversion or revenue. Use it alongside Etsy Stats, not instead of it.
Conclusion
Etsy analytics tools split cleanly once you ask which numbers you need. Your own shop's figures live in Etsy Stats for free; the paid tools add audits (eRank), history (Alura), sales estimates (EverBee) or a browse-along view (Sale Samurai). Search behavior belongs to Marketplace Insights and Marmalead. Any sales figure on someone else's listing is an estimate.
If you sell print-on-demand and your real question is what to design next, that's the gap Trendlytic fills: favorites, listing dates and Rising listings on Etsy, the same niche read on Redbubble, TeePublic and Amazon Merch, and a USPTO lookup on the phrase you pick. It's from $19.99/mo, with a 3-day trial that starts with a $1 card check. Start your trial here.
